Be still my heart. That's what was going through my head when I first came across these Miette cookies on DesignSponge. It took me all of two seconds to fall head over heels in love with these delightful treats and I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist posting something about them on Dessert Girl!
Based on the gorgeous Osborne & Little wallpaper that line the walls of the Miette Confiserie in San Francisco, these floral shortbread cookies are the perfect pairing of art and food. I haven't eaten one, so I can't vouch for their flavor, but everything that I've had from Miette has been mighty yummy, so I'm sure these would have the same glorious flavor as their other treats. As an added visual bonus, the plates in these pictures appear to be designed by the super talented Whitney Smith, one of my all-time favorite potters! At least, it looks like Whitney's work, anyway. How lovely!
I go crazy at that store. Seriously, everywhere you turn, you find something lovely and sweet that you just HAVE to have. ;)
Those are amazing! Such pretty cookies.
They should put them in a shadow box and hang them on that wall!
I don't believe I've ever met a cookie before that I didn't want to wolf down! LOL These are way too beautiful to eat!

These are so pretty! I have such a desire to recreate them now, but wouldn't even know where to begin.
That is incredible! So pretty.
These are beautiful! awesome inspiration from the wall paper, very cool.
Thanks, everyone! I'm so happy you like them!
Nazarina- we have definitely been tempted to preserve some in shellac or similar. A shadow box is a much more practical/elegant solution!
Yay, Miette! Thanks for stopping by and for designing these awesome cookies!
So pretty!
Cheers,
Rosa
